Cellmaster is designed to provide a solution to maximizing capital asset utilization in manufacturing cells applications where several machine tools are producing at different rates and the goal is to balance machine cycle times.
In such applications the operation with longest cycle time sets the production rate resulting in one machine that becomes the bottleneck (operates at 100% utilization) and others that are not being fully utilized. This production imbalance typically necessities more machines.
Uncoupling the sequence of machining operations by creating individual machining cells, thus increasing significantly machine utilization and consequently throughput. Cellmaster uses three stacks of matrix trays for raw parts, finished parts, and a buffer required to allow stack changing to be done in parallel with the machining operations. Cellmaster accomplishes the following objectives:
- Uncouples the individual machining operations
- Separates the scheduling of each operation
- Optimizes each operation individually
- Balances the buffering between operations
- Provides single-point tray loading/unloading
- Improved manufacturing cell machine utilization.
- Maximized throughput with fewer machine tools.
- Improved return-on-invested capital.
- 3 Stacking chambers for Matrix trays
- 600 x 800 mm Std. tray dimension
- 400 x 600 mm Std. tray dimension
Special dimensions and configurations can be available to meet specific customer requirements
